Description

The RRA Predator2 223 Wylde Gunmetal Gray is Rock River’s Fred Eichler Series predator rifle, built around a 16 inch bead blasted fluted stainless barrel and a carbon fiber free float handguard, finished in gunmetal gray Rockote.
Designed with a Working Predator Hunter
The Fred Eichler Series exists because a full time hunter told Rock River what a calling rifle actually needs. Every choice on it, from the handguard material to the finish colour, is about carrying the rifle a long way and making one shot count when a coyote steps out.
Carbon fiber is the clearest example. It weighs a fraction of an aluminum rail of the same length, it does not get painfully cold to hold in January, and it does not conduct heat off the barrel into your hand during a fast string.
RRA Predator2 223 Wylde Gunmetal Gray Barrel
The barrel is 16 inches of stainless steel, fluted, bead blasted and cryogenically treated, with a 1:8 twist. Fluting sheds weight and adds cooling surface, and cryo treatment relieves machining stress so the point of impact does not wander as the barrel warms.
The .223 Wylde chamber is the important detail. It safely fires 5.56 NATO while holding the tighter freebore of a match .223 chamber, so you get military ammunition compatibility without giving away accuracy with match loads. A 1:8 twist stabilises everything from 55 grain varmint bullets to 77 grain match projectiles.
Handguard, Trigger and Furniture
The Fred Eichler Series carbon fiber handguard free floats the barrel and carries a full length top rail, so a scope and a night vision or thermal clip-on can share one continuous rail. Nothing you attach to it changes where the barrel points.
Trigger duty falls to an RRA two stage match unit rather than a mil-spec trigger. The stock is an RRA Operator six position unit adjustable for length of pull, and the grip is Hogue rubber. An RRA brake on 1/2-28 threads keeps the rifle flat enough to spot your own hits.

Why Buyers Choose the RRA Predator2 223 Wylde Gunmetal Gray
The RRA Predator2 223 Wylde Gunmetal Gray is a finished rifle rather than a starting point. The barrel, trigger, brake and handguard are all things a serious predator hunter would fit anyway, and the gunmetal gray Rockote breaks up the outline without being loud about it.
Who Should Buy It
Coyote and predator callers first, then varmint shooters and anyone who wants a light, accurate .223 that is comfortable to carry and to hold in cold weather. The full length top rail also suits anyone running thermal or night vision.
Be realistic about the limits. This is a premium priced rifle, no optic, rings or bases are included, and a 16 inch barrel gives up velocity to the 20 inch varmint models for long shots. The brake is effective and correspondingly loud for anyone standing beside you.
