Description
The RPM Diving Board 35mm Low FDE (RPM part 35-LRC-FDE) is a replacement top cap for RPM 35mm scope rings and cantilever mounts that adds a short Picatinny rail above your scope. It lets you mount a secondary red dot right on top of your magnified optic, finished in Flat Dark Earth.
RPM Diving Board 35mm Low FDE Overview
Ruff’s Precision Manufacturing designs its mounts to be compact and light while working with as many optic and accessory combinations as possible. The Diving Board simply replaces the existing top cap on one ring, so there is no extra clamp, no extra mount and nothing hanging off the side of the rifle. It fits all RPM CLR series rings and all RPM Bravo and Delta cantilever mounts in the matching tube size.
Why 35mm
Thirty-five millimeter tubes appear on many high-end precision scopes, and this version lets those optics carry a red dot or rangefinder without a separate mount. Make sure your RPM ring or cantilever is the 35mm version; RPM also makes the Diving Board in 30mm and 34mm.
Choosing Low Height
The low version keeps a secondary red dot as close to the scope as possible. It is intended for red dots paired with scopes that have low-profile or capped turrets, giving the quickest transition from scope to dot. RPM notes that rail-mounted laser rangefinders need the high version instead.
Common Uses
Typical setups include a micro red dot for close targets on a precision rifle, a backup dot on a hunting rifle with a low-turret scope, or a quick-transition dot for practical rifle matches. Because the rail rides on the scope ring itself, the accessory stays aligned with the optic and moves with it if you remove the scope.
Matching an FDE Build
Flat Dark Earth has become a favorite on hunting and precision rifles with tan, desert or earth-tone stocks and chassis. Choosing the FDE cap keeps your mount, rings and accessory rail the same color, so the rifle looks finished rather than pieced together. Pair it with RPM FDE CLR rings or an FDE cantilever for a fully matched setup, and note that FDE anodizing can vary slightly in shade between production runs.
Installation
Remove the existing top cap from one ring and install the Diving Board in its place using the original cap screws from your RPM mount; screws are not included. Tighten evenly in a crisscross pattern to RPM torque specification, then mount your accessory on the rail and zero it separately from the scope.
Construction
The cap is machined in Flagstaff, Arizona from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with a Type III hard anodized coating.

Honest Limitations
This cap fits RPM mounts only and only the 35mm size. It requires the cap screws from your existing RPM mount. A top-mounted accessory adds height and a little weight above the scope, so check turret and accessory clearance before buying.
