Rossi Brawler 300 Blackout OD Green Overview

Rossi built the Brawler as a rugged adventure gun: simple, tough and easy to keep in a truck, a tackle box or a backpack. One shot at a time may sound limiting, but a break action is one of the most reliable designs there is, and it runs every kind of 300 Blackout without adjustment.

Break Action Simplicity

Press the lever, tip the barrel down, drop in a round and close it. There is no magazine, no gas system and no slide, so a break action does not care whether you load supersonic or subsonic 300 Blackout. That makes the Brawler a natural match for heavy subsonic loads.

Threaded Barrel

The 9 inch alloy steel barrel has a 1:8 twist, which stabilizes heavy subsonic bullets as well as lighter supersonic ones. It is threaded for a muzzle device or suppressor and wears a thread protector. A suppressor requires an approved ATF Form 4 and is not legal in every state.

Optic Rail

The top rail is ready for a red dot or a pistol scope. With a 9 inch barrel and 300 Blackout energy, a scoped Brawler can take deer sized game at modest ranges where handgun hunting with this caliber is legal.

Grip and Safety

A rubber grip soaks up recoil, the polymer frame keeps weight to about 48.5 ounces, and a crossbolt safety blocks the action until you are ready to fire. The pistol is 14 inches long, 5.9 inches tall and 1.3 inches wide.

Choosing Ammunition

Supersonic 110 to 125 grain loads are best for hunting and general practice, and heavy 190 to 220 grain subsonic loads are quiet and pleasant, especially with a suppressor. Check your state hunting rules for handgun calibers before you take it into the field.

Cleaning and Care

A break action is easy to clean. Open the action, run a patch down the bore from the chamber end and wipe the hinge and locking surfaces. A light coat of oil on the hinge keeps the action smooth.

State Laws

Some states and cities restrict handgun purchases or require a handgun to be on an approved list. Check your state and local laws before you order. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
