Description
The Rizzini BR110 Sporter 12 Gauge 30 Inch is an Italian over and under sporting clays shotgun with 30 inch barrels, a steel action, an adjustable comb and a walnut stock. This listing is UPC 853418115473.
Rizzini BR110 Sporter 12 Gauge 30 Inch Overview
Rizzini builds its shotguns in the Val Trompia region of northern Italy, the heart of Italian gunmaking. The BR110 Sporter is the entry point into Rizzini competition guns, built around function and balance rather than decoration, and it does not feel like an entry level shotgun.
Built for Targets
A steel action and 30 inch barrels give the BR110 Sporter the weight and steady swing that help on crossing and long targets. Rizzini lists the current 12 gauge Sporter at about 8.5 lb, which soaks up recoil over a long day of sporting clays, skeet or trap practice.
Adjustable Comb
The adjustable comb lets you raise or lower the cheek piece so your eye lines up with the rib. A gun that fits shoots where you look, which is the single biggest step toward breaking more targets. A good fitter or gunsmith can help you set it up.
Barrels and Ribs
The barrels have a ventilated top rib and ventilated side ribs, which keep heat shimmer down during long strings. Rizzini supplies five extended choke tubes, from cylinder through full, so you can change chokes quickly between stations.
Trigger and Ejectors
A single selective trigger lets you choose which barrel fires first, and automatic ejectors kick out fired hulls for fast reloading between pairs. The safety is manual, as is common on competition guns.
Fit
Rizzini lists a 14 3/4 inch length of pull, 1 9/16 inch drop at comb and 2 1/3 inch drop at heel for the current Sporter, with a 1/2 inch rubber pad. The adjustable comb makes it easier to fine tune fit than a fixed stock.
Choosing Shells
This shotgun is chambered for 12 gauge shells up to 3 inches. For clays, one ounce or 1 1/8 ounce target loads of #7.5 to #9 shot are standard, and lighter one ounce loads are easier on the shoulder during long practice sessions.
Cleaning and Care
Clean the barrels and wipe the action after each outing, and keep a light coat of oil on metal parts. Check the choke tubes regularly and keep their threads clean so they do not seize.
State Laws
Shotguns are legal to own in all states, but transport rules vary. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
