Retay RXP22 22 LR Gray Threaded – Fun Rimfire Pistol

Description

The Retay RXP22 22 LR Gray Threaded is a full featured 22 LR pistol that looks, feels and handles like a modern 9mm carry gun. Retay model RXP22-BSG-13TH pairs a gray Cerakote optic ready slide with a black Cerakote polymer frame, a 4 inch threaded barrel and a 13+1 round capacity, making it an affordable choice for training, plinking and suppressor fun.

Retay RXP22 22 LR Gray Threaded Overview

Retay built the RXP22 for shooters who want a rimfire that mirrors their centerfire pistol. The double action, single action trigger gives a long first pull and a short, light follow up, and the grip angle and controls feel like a full size defensive handgun, so practice transfers directly to your carry gun. The slide wears a gray Cerakote finish with front and rear serrations for easy manipulation, and it is cut for red dot sights with the RMSc or RMR footprint.

The 4 inch barrel is threaded at the muzzle for a suppressor or compensator. A black Cerakote polymer frame adds an accessory rail for a light or laser and a textured grip for a secure hold. The pistol ships with a 13 round magazine, so you get more shooting and less loading at the range.

Training at a Fraction of the Cost

A brick of 22 LR costs a small fraction of the same number of 9mm rounds, which means you can shoot more often and build skills faster. Because the RXP22 handles like a full size duty pistol, it is a great tool for drawing, sight picture, trigger control and red dot practice without the recoil and cost of centerfire ammo.

Optic Ready and Suppressor Ready

The RMSc and RMR footprint lets you mount many popular micro red dots directly to the slide. Add a rimfire suppressor to the threaded barrel and the RXP22 becomes one of the quietest, most enjoyable range guns you can own. The accessory rail completes the setup with room for a weapon light.

A Great First Handgun

The light recoil and manageable report of 22 LR make the RXP22 an excellent pistol for new shooters. The DA/SA trigger and full size grip help new shooters learn proper fundamentals, and the 13 round magazine keeps range sessions moving.

Practice and Training

Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.

Choosing Ammunition

Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.

Safe Storage

Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.

Recommended Accessories

A quality holster, spare magazines, eye and ear protection and a cleaning kit round out any handgun purchase. For defensive use, add a weapon light and practice drawing safely from your holster with an unloaded gun before carrying.
