Retay RXP22 22 LR Black 9911 Overview
The Retay RXP22 is a rimfire pistol designed for affordable practice, plinking, and training, with features usually found on centerfire handguns.
Design and Features
This configuration features threaded – pitch is ½ x28” barrels, a glock-compatible, front fiber optic – truglo, and a Black finish. Capacity is 2 x 10rd / 2 x 13rd. It weighs about 1lb. 8oz.. Drilled and tapped: Drilled and tapped slide for RMR and RMSC optics. Comes with universal mounting plate for optics that fall outside the R. Retay backs it with a lifetime limited warranty.
Handling and Carry
It is light, easy to handle, and inexpensive to shoot, which makes it a great choice for new shooters and for regular practice.
Trigger and Controls
The trigger is crisp for a rimfire, and the controls are easy to learn.
Sights and Optics
The factory sights give a clear, quick sight picture, and the optic-ready slide lets you add a red dot whenever you are ready.
The 22 LR Cartridge
The 22 LR is the most affordable cartridge to shoot, with almost no recoil and little noise, ideal for practice, small game, and new shooters.
Setup and Accessories
A good holster is the most important accessory for any carry pistol. Choose one that covers the trigger guard completely and holds the gun securely, then add a sturdy gun belt, spare magazines, and a weapon light if the frame has a rail. Practice drawing and reloading with an unloaded gun until it feels natural.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the pistol and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
