Why a 28 Gauge
The 28 gauge has a devoted following because it patterns beautifully, recoils very lightly, and makes a gun that carries effortlessly. It is ideal for bobwhite, woodcock, grouse, doves, and skeet. The tradeoff is ammunition cost and availability: 28 gauge shells cost more than 12 or 20 gauge and are harder to find in rural stores, so buy ahead of your season. It is not the right choice for waterfowl or long-range pheasant shots.
Inertia Action
