The Radian A-DAC 15 Lower Receiver FDE is Radian Weapons’ fully ambidextrous AR-15 lower, machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminum with an integral trigger guard and flared magazine well and finished in FDE Cerakote. This is the stripped receiver with the Radian-specific controls included, so the Radian A-DAC 15 Lower Receiver FDE lets you choose your own trigger, grip, and stock.

What the A-DAC actually does

A-DAC stands for Ambidextrous Dual-Action Catch, and it solves the one control a standard AR-15 lower leaves on the wrong side for right-handed shooters. To lock the bolt back, pull the charging handle, press the right-side magazine release button, and let the charging handle go. Your firing hand never leaves the grip. The same lower also has a right-side bolt release paddle and a left-side magazine release paddle, so lefties get a true ambidextrous AR-15 lower and righties get faster reloads and malfunction clearing.

The Radian Talon safety selector can be set up for a short 45-degree or standard 90-degree throw, with long and short levers included. A spring-loaded SART plunger (Self-Adjusting Receiver Tensioner) takes up slack between upper and lower, which removes the wobble many AR owners otherwise fix with an accu-wedge. Enhanced takedown pins round out the package.

Unlike a typical stripped AR-15 lower, the Radian A-DAC 15 Lower Receiver FDE arrives with the hard part of an ambidextrous build already sorted: the Talon safety, extended bolt catch, magazine release paddle and right-side button, right-side bolt release paddle, hammer pin, enhanced takedown pins, and the SART plunger. What you add is the fire control group, a pistol grip, and a buffer tube, buffer, and spring with the stock or brace of your choice. A Radian Vertex CBX or FBX trigger keeps the build all-Radian and matches the factory complete lowers. Because you choose the parts, the Radian A-DAC 15 Lower Receiver FDE can become a rifle lower or a pistol lower, but decide before assembly: a receiver first built as a rifle generally cannot legally be turned into a pistol later, since doing so with a short barrel creates an NFA weapon.

Honest trade-offs before you buy

This is a premium lower, and a mil-spec forged lower with a basic parts kit costs a fraction as much. Part of what you pay for is proprietary: the A-DAC bolt catch, paddles, and magazine release are Radian parts, so replacements come from Radian rather than any gun counter, though Radian does sell them individually. Some aftermarket ambidextrous magazine releases and bolt catches will not fit.

A lower receiver is the serialized part of an AR-15, so it is a firearm under federal law. You must be 21 or older to buy one from a dealer, and it transfers through an FFL with a background check. Some states restrict what you can build on it, including magazine capacity and features.
