Description

The POF-USA Minuteman Pistol Tungsten is Patriot Ordnance Factory’s take on what a direct-impingement AR pistol should be: billet receivers, a genuinely good trigger and ambidextrous controls, with nothing bolted on that you would only take back off. It runs a 10.5-inch barrel in 5.56 NATO, weighs six pounds, and wears Tungsten Cerakote over billet aluminum.
Billet Receivers and a Real Trigger
Both receivers are billet-forged aluminum, and the P-15 lower carries an oversized trigger guard and an ambidextrous safety. Inside is a single-stage straight drop-in trigger with a smooth 3.5-pound pull, which is the single biggest difference between this and most pistols in its class. You do not have to budget for a trigger upgrade, because the upgrade is already there.
POF-USA Minuteman Pistol Tungsten Barrel and Gas System
The 10.5-inch barrel is 4150 CrMoV steel, nitride heat treated, with 5R rifling and a 1:8 twist that stabilizes everything from 55-grain training loads to 77-grain match. Threads are 1/2×28 under a three-prong flash hider. A carbine-length gas system runs under a low-profile nitride gas block inside the nine-inch Renegade M-LOK rail, which is free floated the whole way.
Controls Built for Either Hand
An ambidextrous Strike Eagle charging handle, an ambidextrous safety and a QD mount on the receiver extension end plate mean the pistol can be set up and run from either shoulder. The bolt carrier group is mil-spec with a roller cam pin, which reduces friction and wear where a standard cam pin drags. The buffer tube is an anti-tilt pistol tube, and an MFT ENGAGE V2 grip finishes the lower.

Why Tungsten Cerakote
The Tungsten finish is a medium grey that hides handling marks better than black anodize and does not glare in bright light the way a lighter Cerakote can. It is also a hard-wearing ceramic coating rather than a surface anodize, so the edges and corners that normally shine through first on a well-used AR stay covered.
Why Buyers Choose the POF-USA Minuteman Pistol Tungsten
Compare the spec sheet against a typical AR pistol and the gap is obvious: billet receivers instead of forgings, a 3.5-pound drop-in trigger instead of a mil-spec unit, ambidextrous controls, a nitrided 5R barrel and a free-floated M-LOK rail. POF builds these in Arizona, and the fit and finish reflect that. At six pounds it is light enough to hold up one-handed while you clear a door or work a truck.
Who Should Buy It
This is a strong pick for a truck or home-defense pistol where length matters, for anyone planning to add a brace or later convert to a short-barreled rifle under the appropriate paperwork, and for the shooter who wants a compact 5.56 that does not need parts swapped before it is good. Mount a red dot, feed it quality 55- or 62-grain ammunition, and be aware that a 10.5-inch barrel gives up velocity compared with a carbine, so choose loads that perform at shorter barrel speeds.
