The single action design requires thumb-cocking for each shot. The spur trigger has no guard, so store and carry the revolver with the hammer down in one of the safety notches between chambers. Remove the cylinder to load and unload, and do it over a bench so small parts do not get lost.

White pearl-style grips show dirt and can scratch, so handle them with clean hands and avoid oily solvents. A soft microfiber cloth works well. If the grips ever need replacing, NAA offers many grip styles, but the original anniversary grips are worth keeping with the gun.
