Description
The North American Arms 22MS Belt Buckle set (model NAA-22MS-BBS) combines NAA’s 1-1/8 inch 22 Magnum mini revolver with the Magnum-size Skeleton Belt Buckle. The open-frame buckle holds the revolver on the front of your belt with the gun visible through the cutout, a look straight out of the American West.

North American Arms 22MS Belt Buckle Overview
The revolver is the 22MS: stainless steel, five rounds of 22 WMR, a 1-1/8 inch barrel, a half-moon front sight and rosewood bird head grips, at roughly 6 ounces. The Magnum buckle is cut for the longer Magnum frame and cylinder, so it is not interchangeable with the 22 LR buckle. Distributor listings note it fits belts from 1 to 1.5 inches wide.
Magnum Power in a Buckle
Choosing the Magnum version gets you more energy than the 22 LR set, with the trade-off of more noise, more flash and costlier ammunition. From a 1-1/8 inch barrel 22 WMR loses much of its rifle velocity, so think of it as a close-range rimfire. Only 22 WMR belongs in this cylinder.

Wearing It
The buckle mounts like any standard buckle. Because the revolver sits openly on your belt, wearing it in public is open carry and laws vary widely. Some states and cities restrict open carry or require a permit, and businesses can post no-gun policies. Know the rules wherever you plan to wear it.
Releasing the Revolver
The buckle uses a clip release to hold and free the revolver. Practice removing and replacing the unloaded gun until it is smooth. Always point the muzzle in a safe direction while doing so, and keep fingers clear of the unguarded spur trigger, which can be pressed accidentally if the hammer is cocked.

Safe Loading
Take the revolver out of the buckle to load or unload. Remove the base pin and cylinder, load five rounds, reassemble and gently lower the hammer into one of the safety notches between chambers. Never seat a revolver in the buckle with the hammer resting on a live cartridge.
Display and Gifting
Many of these sets end up in a display case or as a gift for a collector, rancher or fan of Western events. Keep the original box and store the set unloaded in a low-humidity spot. A light coat of oil on the stainless parts and a quick wipe of the buckle keeps both looking sharp for years.
State Laws and Ownership
Mini revolvers are legal to own in most of the country, but several states limit which handguns a dealer can sell. California keeps a handgun roster, and Massachusetts, Maryland and New York have their own approval or permit systems, so confirm this exact model can be transferred where you live before ordering. Concealed carry permits are still required in many states even for a five-shot rimfire this small, and some cities add their own rules.
