Description
The NAA Green Huntsman 22 WMR 2 in. is a North American Arms mini revolver chambered in 22 WMR with a 2 inch heavy vent barrel, a five round bull cylinder and an OD green Cerakote frame with black accents. It ships with a DeSantis holster.
NAA Green Huntsman 22 WMR 2 in. Overview
North American Arms builds its mini revolvers in Provo, Utah, and the Huntsman is the beefed-up member of the family. It uses a heavy vent barrel and a bull cylinder chambered for 22 WMR, giving more velocity and energy than 22 LR in a revolver small enough to carry almost anywhere. This Green Huntsman version wears an OD green Cerakote frame with black Cerakote accents and a hydro-dipped rubber grip. 8 ounces. Like all NAA minis it is a single action revolver: you cock the hammer for each shot. A DeSantis holster is included.
Safe Carry With a Mini Revolver
NAA mini revolvers use safety notches between the chambers that let the hammer rest safely without sitting on a cartridge rim. Learn the loading and unloading procedure in the owner’s manual, which requires removing the cylinder, and practice it with an unloaded gun.
22 WMR Performance
22 Magnum offers noticeably more power than 22 LR, with good penetration and manageable recoil from a small frame. Expect a loud report and some muzzle flash from a 2 inch barrel. Choose quality ammunition designed for short barrels and test it before carrying.
Trail, Backup and Pocket Use
At under 9 ounces the Huntsman disappears in a pocket or pack, which makes it a popular trail gun for small pests and snakes and a backup for those who carry a larger pistol. The included DeSantis holster keeps it secure and covers the trigger.
Practice and Training
Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.
Choosing Ammunition
Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.
Care and Maintenance
Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.
Safe Storage
Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.
Recommended Accessories
A quality holster, spare magazines, eye and ear protection and a cleaning kit round out any handgun purchase. For defensive use, add a weapon light and practice drawing safely from your holster with an unloaded gun before carrying.
