Description
The LWRCI REPR MKII 308 Patriot Brown 16 is a rifle chambered in 308 Win with a 16-inch barrel.
LWRCI REPR MKII 308 Patriot Brown 16 Overview
LWRCI builds premium AR-pattern rifles and pistols in Cambridge, Maryland, and is best known for its short-stroke gas piston system, which keeps carbon and heat out of the receiver for cleaner, cooler, more reliable operation. The REPR MKII (Rapid Engagement Precision Rifle) is a large-frame piston AR built for precision and hunting with full-power cartridges. Before heading to the field or range, take time to set the rifle up for your build and your hunting or shooting style.
A quality scope in good rings, a comfortable sling and a set of shooting sticks or a bipod will do more for accuracy than almost anything else. Zero the rifle with the exact load you plan to use, confirm the zero at the distances you expect to shoot, and practice from field positions so you are ready when the moment comes.
Design and Features
It has a spiral-fluted cold hammer forged barrel, ambidextrous controls, an adjustable gas block and a free-floating rail. Choosing the right ammunition matters as much as choosing the rifle. Try several loads from reputable makers, shoot groups from a solid rest, and settle on the one your rifle prefers before hunting season. A good sling, rings that match your scope and a few rounds of practice from field positions will turn an accurate rifle into an effective hunting tool.
Handling in the Field
LWRCI rifles are known for reliability in harsh conditions and for spiral-fluted, cold hammer forged barrels that stay accurate and shed heat.
Action and Trigger
The trigger is a crisp, enhanced fire control group, and ambidextrous controls let left- and right-handed shooters run the gun equally well.
Sights and Optics
Mount the optic of your choice with quality rings or a mount, and zero it with the load you plan to use.
The 308 Win Cartridge
The 308 Winchester is a proven, accurate full-power cartridge with plenty of energy for big game and long-range target work.
Setup and Accessories
Start with a quality optic and solid rings or a mount, then add a sling for carrying and a bipod or shooting bag for steady rests. Test a few loads for accuracy and settle on the one your rifle likes best. A hard case protects your investment on the way to the range or the field.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the rifle and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner’s manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the bolt face and chamber. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
