Kriss Vector SDP Gen3 45 ACP Flat Overview
The Vector SDP Gen3 is a Kriss pistol built for duty, home defense and range use. A good handgun should be reliable with a wide range of ammo, easy to shoot accurately and simple to maintain, and that is what this model is built to deliver.
Action and Controls
The Vector SDP Gen3 runs on a Semi-Auto action system with a Single Stage trigger. It holds 30+1 rounds. The safety is ambidextrous safety lever. Practice your trigger press and reloads until they feel natural.
Barrel and Sights
The 5.50 inch barrel is chrome moly steel with a threaded profile. Sights are Flip Up Front & Rear. Check that your front sight is crisp in focus as you press the trigger, which is the key to accuracy with any handgun.
Frame, Slide and Finish
The frame is polymer. The finish is Flat Dark Earth with Black Nitride. Grips are Black Polymer.
Size and Carry
Overall length is 15.35″. It weighs about 5.60 lbs. That size gives a full grip and a longer sight radius for steady shooting at the range and at home.
Ammo and Practice
Feed this pistol quality factory ammo from a known brand. Shoot a few hundred rounds of practice ammo and at least a box of your chosen defensive load to confirm it runs reliably before you trust it for protection.
The 45 ACP
The 45 ACP is a proven defensive round with big, slow bullets and moderate recoil.
Home Defense and Range Use
This pistol is a solid choice for home defense, range practice and many kinds of competition. For home defense, keep it in a quick access safe and pick a quality defensive load.
Holsters and Accessories
Plan on a quality holster made for this exact model, a magazine pouch, a lock or quick access safe, and eye and ear protection. A weapon light and a red dot are popular upgrades if the gun is set up for them.
Buying Tips
Pick up extra magazines, a quality holster and plenty of practice ammo. If you are new to handguns, a basic safety class is a smart first step.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Kriss holds its value.
State Laws
Handgun laws vary by state, including magazine limits, approved roster lists and carry permits. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
