Description
The KRISS Vector CRB G2 9mm Alpine CA is a rifle chambered in 9mm with a 16-inch barrel. This model is finished in Alpine and is configured as a California compliant version with 10-round magazines.
KRISS Vector CRB G2 9mm Alpine CA Overview
The Vector CRB Gen 2 is KRISS’ most widely accessible model, with a 16-inch rifle-length barrel that is compliant in most states. Its futuristic look and pistol-caliber chambering make it a favorite for recreational shooting, pistol-caliber carbine competition, and home defense.
Design and Features
The Vector uses KRISS’ patented Super V recoil mitigation system, a delayed-blowback design whose bolt and low-mass slider travel down channels at an angle to the barrel. This redirects blowback energy downward to counter muzzle rise, and combined with one of the lowest bore axes of any firearm, it makes fast, accurate follow-up shots easier.
Handling in the Field
The Vector carbine is compact for a 16-inch rifle, balances well, and is easy to shoot accurately thanks to its low recoil. It is a blast at the range and a capable home-defense carbine.
Action and Trigger
The trigger is crisp with a short reset, and the controls are laid out for quick, intuitive manipulation. Keep the action clean and lubricated per the owner’s manual for best reliability.
Sights and Optics
Mount a red dot, holographic sight, or low-power optic on the full-length top rail, and add back-up iron sights if your model does not include them.
The 9mm Cartridge
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, good capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition.
Setup and Accessories
Start with a quality optic and solid rings or a mount, then add a sling for carrying and a bipod or shooting bag for steady rests. Test a few loads for accuracy and settle on the one your rifle likes best. A hard case protects your investment on the way to the range or the field.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the rifle and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner’s manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the bolt face and chamber. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
