Description
HSM Bear Load 10mm 230gr RNFP ammunition from HSM (Bear Load) loads a 230 grain round nose flat point in 10mm Auto. Each box holds 20 rounds.
Hard Cast for Deep Penetration
This load pairs a heavy 230 grain round nose flat point with the 10mm Auto. Hard cast flat nose bullets are designed to hold their shape and drive deep rather than expand.
That makes them a common choice for large, tough animals and for woods carry in bear country.

Always know what is beyond your target.
HSM Bear Load 10mm 230gr RNFP ammo is a dependable choice for hunters and hikers who want a hard-hitting heavy load.
Practice with heavy loads
Practice with the same heavy ammunition you plan to carry so you are used to its recoil and point of impact.
Carrying in the field
A quality holster and a firearm you can reach quickly matter as much as the ammunition you choose.
Storage
Keep ammunition in a cool, dry place in its original box.
Tracking your round count
Keeping a simple log of how many rounds you fire helps you plan cleaning, spring replacement and other routine maintenance. It also shows how much ammunition you actually use in a season, which makes it easier to buy the right amount next time.
Matching ammunition to your firearm
Check the caliber marking on your barrel before loading any ammunition, and read your firearm manual for any limits on bullet weight or load type. Using the right cartridge keeps your firearm running reliably and safely.
Reading the box
The box lists the caliber, bullet weight and bullet type. Always match the cartridge to the caliber stamped on your firearm’s barrel or slide, and never fire ammunition that is not specified for your firearm.
About HSM
HSM Bear Load 10mm 230gr RNFP comes from HSM, and the specifications listed here follow the maker’s and our distributor’s published data for this item. Compare loads by bullet weight, bullet type and intended use to find the best fit for your firearm.
Buying the right amount
When you find a load that performs well, buy enough for practice and the full season at once. Ammunition from the same lot tends to perform the same, which keeps your results consistent.
Choosing the right load
Start with the job you need the ammunition to do, whether that is hunting, target shooting or practice. Then match the bullet type to that job: expanding bullets for hunting and defense, match bullets for accuracy work and full metal jacket for practice. Finally, test a few boxes in your own firearm, because every barrel has its preferences.
Safety first
Always treat every firearm as loaded, keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Wear eye and ear protection every time you shoot.
Understanding bullet weight
Heavier bullets in a given caliber usually leave the muzzle slower but carry momentum well and resist wind drift, while lighter bullets shoot faster and flatter at shorter ranges. Neither is better in every case; the right choice depends on the game, the distance and your firearm.
