Description
HSM Bear 454 Casull 325gr ammunition from HSM (Bear Load) loads a 325 grain Wide Flat Nose in 454 Casull. Each box holds 50 rounds.
Built for Deep Penetration
This load pairs a heavy 325 grain Wide Flat Nose with the 454 Casull, a combination built for deep penetration on large, tough animals and for backcountry protection where dangerous game lives.
Heavy, hard bullets keep their shape and drive deep instead of expanding early. That is the reason many hunters and hikers in bear country choose heavy hard-cast or solid loads.
Expect stout recoil from HSM Bear 454 Casull 325gr. Practice enough with it to shoot accurately and quickly from your handgun or rifle before you depend on it.

Big Bore Tips
Use HSM Bear 454 Casull 325gr only in firearms chambered for 454 Casull.
Check for bullet jump (crimp creep) in revolvers after firing a few rounds.
Carry bear spray as well; many wildlife agencies recommend it as a first line of defense.
Check state rules on carrying firearms in parks and wilderness areas.
HSM Bear 454 Casull 325gr is a rugged choice for shooters who want a ready-made hard cast ammo from a known maker.
Recoil management
A firm grip, a good recoil pad or grip and regular practice make heavy loads manageable. Start with a few rounds and build up.
Firearm rating
Heavy loads stress firearms more than standard loads. Read your owner manual and confirm your firearm is rated for this pressure and bullet weight.
Hunting use
Deep-penetrating bullets work best on large, heavy-boned animals. For lighter game, an expanding bullet is usually the better choice.
Reading the box
The box lists the caliber, bullet weight and bullet type. Always match the cartridge to the caliber stamped on your firearm’s barrel or slide, and never fire ammunition that is not specified for your firearm.
About HSM
HSM Bear 454 Casull 325gr comes from HSM, and the specifications listed here follow the maker’s and our distributor’s published data for this item. Compare loads by bullet weight, bullet type and intended use to find the best fit for your firearm.
Buying the right amount
When you find a load that performs well, buy enough for practice and the full season at once. Ammunition from the same lot tends to perform the same, which keeps your results consistent.
Safety first
Always treat every firearm as loaded, keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction and keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. Wear eye and ear protection every time you shoot.
Understanding bullet weight
Heavier bullets in a given caliber usually leave the muzzle slower but carry momentum well and resist wind drift, while lighter bullets shoot faster and flatter at shorter ranges. Neither is better in every case; the right choice depends on the game, the distance and your firearm.
Choosing the right load
Start with the job you need the ammunition to do, whether that is hunting, target shooting or practice. Then match the load to that job, and finally test a few boxes in your own firearm, because every barrel has its preferences.
