Hornady 308 Marlin 160gr FTX – Proven .308 Marlin Express Lever Action Hunting Ammo, 2660 fps, 20 Rounds

Description

The Hornady 308 Marlin 160gr FTX load is built for shooters who want more from their .308 Marlin Express than typical factory ammunition delivers. Hornady loads a 160 grain FTX Flex Tip to a rated 2660 feet per second, producing about 2514 foot-pounds of energy. LEVERevolution ammunition uses a soft, flexible Flex Tip that is safe in tubular magazines, allowing a pointed, high ballistic coefficient bullet in lever-action rifles. The result is a flatter trajectory and more energy downrange than traditional flat-nose loads.

Why Choose the Hornady 308 Marlin 160gr FTX

• Rated 2660 fps and 2514 ft-lbs

Built for the Hunt

• Accurate, consistent hunting performance
• Reliable feeding in bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles
• Quality brass cases and reliable primers
• Suited to a wide range of game at typical distances

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Hornady builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Hornady 308 Marlin 160gr FTX until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.
