Description
The Hornady 22-250 Rem 35gr NTX load is built for shooters who want more from their .22-250 Remington than typical factory ammunition delivers. Hornady loads a 35 grain NTX lead-free varmint to a rated 4450 feet per second, producing about 1539 foot-pounds of energy. Superformance ammunition uses specially blended propellants to reach velocities up to 200 fps faster than standard loads without extra pressure or recoil. Paired with a polymer-tipped varmint bullet, it delivers an extremely flat trajectory and explosive expansion on prairie dogs, coyotes and other varmints.

- Flat trajectory for small, distant targets
- Rapid expansion on varmints and predators
- Quality brass cases and reliable primers
- Consistent accuracy shot after shot
Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Hornady builds into every cartridge.
Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Hornady 22-250 Rem 35gr NTX until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.
About the .22-250 Remington
The .22-250 began as a wildcat built on the .250 Savage case and was standardized by Remington in 1965. It is one of the fastest commercial .22 centerfire cartridges, with a flat trajectory that makes it a favorite for prairie dogs, groundhogs, coyotes and other varmints at long range. Its mild recoil lets shooters watch their hits through the scope, and in many states it is also used for smaller deer where legal.
