Description
The Hi-Point YC9 Yeet Cannon 9mm Black is the black YC9 with Hi-Point’s tongue-in-cheek Yeet Cannon name engraved on the slide, a full-size 9mm that does not take itself too seriously.

Hi-Point YC9 Yeet Cannon 9mm Black Overview
Hi-Point model YC9YEET has a 4.12-inch barrel threaded 1/2×28, a 10-round magazine, a 34.2-ounce weight and a 7.6-inch overall length, with a polymer frame and black powder-coated slide. The slide engraving is the only difference from the plain black YC9. Our store title lists 8 rounds, but Hi-Point and our distributor both list a 10-round magazine. The slide is optics-ready, so a red dot can be added later.
Blowback Design and Build
The YC9 uses a straight blowback action with a fixed barrel, a polymer frame and a heavy slide. The fixed barrel helps practical accuracy and the simple design keeps the price low, but the slide mass is why these pistols weigh more than polymer guns of similar size. Hi-Point builds them with American-made parts and assembly and covers them with a lifetime warranty that follows the gun to later owners.

Sights, Safety and Controls
The YC9 has three-dot sights with a fully adjustable rear, a replaceable front sight that accepts Glock-pattern units, and a slide cut to accept a red dot. A manual thumb safety and a slide that locks open after the last round are standard, and Hi-Point rates the pistol for +P ammunition. The magazine release sits behind the trigger guard, and the blowback slide rewards a firm grip for reliable cycling.
Name Aside, a Practical 9mm
The Yeet Cannon name started as an internet joke that Hi-Point leaned into, and the engraving gives this version a little humor. Underneath it is a serious, heavy, soft-recoiling 9mm with an accessory rail for a light and a slide ready for a red dot. Mount a light for home use, choose a dot with a footprint that fits the slide cut, and run several hundred rounds to confirm reliability with your ammunition.

Recoil, Size and Ammunition
Hi-Point lists the YC9 at 34.2 ounces and 7.6 inches overall with a 10-round magazine, noticeably bigger than the C9 it grew out of. That mass soaks up 9mm recoil very well, but it also makes the pistol large and heavy for daily concealed carry, so it fits home, range and vehicle roles better. The 1/2×28 threaded barrel accepts common 9mm muzzle devices; a suppressor is an NFA item that needs an approved ATF Form 4 and must be legal where you live.
Honest Caveats
Hi-Point pistols trade refinement for price. They are heavy and thick for their size, the trigger is long and gritty, and holster and magazine choices are far narrower than for mainstream polymer pistols. Takedown takes a punch rather than a lever. Resale value is modest, and a weak grip can cause stoppages, so practice with a firm hold. We also list a similar Yeet Cannon under a different UPC, so check the model number if you are matching a specific box.
State Laws and Ownership
Pennsylvania buyers 21 and older can purchase this pistol through a dealer, and carrying it concealed or in a vehicle generally requires a License to Carry Firearms. Other states are stricter: some keep a roster of approved handguns, some cap magazine capacity, some restrict threaded barrels on pistols, and many require a purchase permit. Check your state and local rules before ordering.
