Heritage Badlander 28 GA Overview
This Heritage single-action revolver brings classic Western styling to rimfire shooting, with a manual hammer block safety and an affordable price that makes it easy to enjoy.
Design and Features
This configuration has a 28.00-inch barrel and a 2-round capacity. It has a BLACK CHROME frame, and a BLACK CHROME barrel. It weighs 109.00 Oz. unloaded and measures 44.85 In. overall.
Handling and Carry
Single-action rimfire revolvers are a fun, inexpensive way to enjoy Western-style shooting and small game hunting, and many models include a .22 WMR cylinder for added versatility.
Trigger and Controls
You cock the hammer for each shot for a light, crisp trigger pull, and the cylinder loads through a side gate.
Sights and Optics
The factory sights give a clear, quick sight picture, and the optic-ready slide lets you add a red dot whenever you are ready.
The 28 GA Cartridge
The 28 GA offers a good balance of power, accuracy, and recoil for its intended use.
Setup and Accessories
Pick a holster made for your revolver frame size and barrel length, and add speedloaders or speed strips so you can reload quickly.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the revolver and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Start at 5 to 7 yards with practice ammo and work on a steady grip and a smooth trigger press. Load only a few rounds at first, and check that the gun feeds and ejects reliably. Wear eye and ear protection, keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target, and clean the gun when you get home.
