Description
The Henry Turkey Single Shot 12 Gauge is a shotgun chambered in 12 Gauge with a 24-inch barrel. It has a Mossy Oak® Obsession receiver, an American Walnut Mossy Oak® Obsession stock, and Fiber Optic front and Fiber Optic rear sights.
Henry Turkey Single Shot 12 Gauge Overview
Henry’s single-shot models use a simple break-open action that is easy to learn and easy to check, making them ideal for new hunters and anyone who values simplicity. Henry builds its firearms in the USA and backs them with a strong warranty and well-regarded customer service.
Design and Features
This version uses a Round Mossy Oak® Obsession barrel measuring 24 inches. The receiver is finished in Mossy Oak® Obsession. The stock is American Walnut Mossy Oak® Obsession with a Pistol Grip design. Extras include Internally threaded for Rem style chokes (Turkey included). Swivel studs, Mossy Oak® Obsession Camo finish. 3 1/2″ shell. For optics, the receiver offers Drilled and Tapped.
Handling in the Field
Henry’s field guns are simple to run and easy to keep clean, which makes them a good fit for new and experienced hunters alike.
Action and Trigger
The break-open action is simple: open it, load a round, close it, and cock the exposed hammer. A transfer bar safety helps prevent the gun from firing unless the trigger is pulled.
Sights and Optics
It comes with Fiber Optic front and Fiber Optic rear sights. The receiver is set up for optics (Drilled and Tapped), so you can add a scope or red dot if you prefer.
The 12 Gauge Cartridge
The 12 gauge is the most popular shotgun gauge in America, with the widest selection of loads for clays, upland birds, waterfowl, turkey, deer slugs, and home-defense buckshot.
Setup and Accessories
Set your shotgun up for its job: hunters will want a sling and a few choke tubes, clay shooters may add a recoil pad, and a home-defense setup benefits from a weapon light. Pattern every load and choke combination you plan to use.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the shotgun and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the action and choke threads. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
