Description
The Henry Single Shot Rifle 243 Win is a rifle chambered in 243 Win with a 22-inch barrel. It has a Blued Steel receiver, an American Walnut stock, and Brass Bead front and Fully Adjustable Folding Leaf rear sights.
Henry Single Shot Rifle 243 Win Overview
Henry’s single-shot models use a simple break-open action that is easy to learn and easy to check, making them ideal for new hunters and anyone who values simplicity. Henry builds its firearms in the USA and backs them with a strong warranty and well-regarded customer service.
Design and Features
This version uses a Round Blued Steel barrel measuring 22 inches with a 1:10 rate of twist. The receiver is finished in Blued Steel. The stock is American Walnut with a Pistol Grip design. Extras include Swivel Studs. For optics, the receiver offers Drilled and Tapped.
Handling in the Field
Henry lever guns are light, slim, and balanced, so they carry easily in the woods and come up to the shoulder quickly. With a 1-round capacity you have plenty on hand for a day of hunting or plinking. Most Henry rifles load through a tube in the magazine, which is simple and safe: you never have to cycle live rounds through the action to unload.
Action and Trigger
The break-open action is simple: open it, load a round, close it, and cock the exposed hammer. A transfer bar safety helps prevent the gun from firing unless the trigger is pulled.
Sights and Optics
It comes with Brass Bead front and Fully Adjustable Folding Leaf rear sights. The receiver is set up for optics (Drilled and Tapped), so you can add a scope or red dot if you prefer.
The 243 Win Cartridge
The 243 Winchester is a classic dual-purpose cartridge: flat shooting and mild in recoil, great for varmints, coyotes, and deer.
Setup and Accessories
Start with a quality optic and solid rings or a mount, then add a sling for carrying and a bipod or shooting bag for steady rests. Test a few loads for accuracy and settle on the one your rifle likes best. A hard case protects your investment on the way to the range or the field.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the rifle and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the bolt face and chamber. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
