The Glock 19X grew out of Glock’s military trials pistol, pairing a compact-length slide with a full-size grip for extra capacity and control. The V-series version keeps that crossover layout and adds an internal redesign that Glock made for improved safety and performance, while retaining Gen5 features such as the ambidextrous slide stop, the flared magwell, and the grip without finger grooves.

Carry and Use

The 19X layout gives you a full grip for control while keeping the slide short enough to carry. Its 17-round magazines also fit flush, and the frame accepts the full range of Glock 17 accessories.

Safe Action Design

Like every Glock, it uses the Safe Action system with three independent safeties: a trigger safety, a firing pin safety, and a drop safety. There is no manual safety to forget under stress; the pistol fires only when the trigger is pressed. The striker-fired trigger breaks the same way every time, which makes it easy to learn and easy to shoot consistently. Polymer construction keeps weight down, and the slide and barrel are built to hold up to tens of thousands of rounds.

Barrel and Slide

The 4.02-inch barrel is quad-ported, with matching cuts in the slide. Porting vents gas upward as the bullet leaves the muzzle, which pushes the muzzle down and reduces muzzle rise so you can get back on target faster for follow-up shots.

Sights and Optics

The included Holosun 407C X2 red dot sits low on the slide in the optic cut. A red dot lets you keep both eyes open and focus on the target, which is faster and more intuitive than lining up iron sights, especially under stress or in low light.

Care and Cleaning

Cleaning is easy on a Glock. Field-strip the pistol by unloading it, pulling the slide back slightly, and pulling down the slide lock. Clean the barrel with a bore brush and patches, wipe the slide rails, and put a drop of oil on the barrel hood, the slide rails, and the connector. Wipe the optic lens with a soft cloth and keep the mounting screws snug. Avoid harsh solvents on the Cerakote; a light wipe with gun oil is all it needs.
