Description

The GForce Arms GFY-1 USA Flag is a magazine fed bullpup shotgun that puts a full 18.5 inch barrel into an overall length of just 28.5 inches. The greyscale American flag finish covers the aluminum receiver and the polymer bullpup stock, and the result is a 12 gauge that looks like nothing else on the rack.
Why a Bullpup Shotgun
Moving the action and the magazine behind the trigger is what makes the layout work. You get the pattern and velocity of a standard length barrel while carrying a gun barely two inches longer than a typical pistol-gripped home defense pump. That shorter package also keeps the weight closer to your body, which makes the gun easier to hold on target one handed while you open a door or work a light.
GForce Arms GFY-1 USA Flag Features
The GFY-1 runs a gas operated action feeding from detachable box magazines, and it is compatible with MKA-1919 pattern magazines, so spares and drums are easy to source. It accepts both 2 3/4 and 3 inch 12 gauge shells and ships with a modified choke that uses the common Benelli Mobil thread pattern.
Sighting is handled by flip-up iron sights on the top Picatinny rail. Fold them down and there is room for a red dot or reflex sight, which is how most owners end up running this gun. A second Picatinny section underneath takes a light or a forward grip, and a QD sling mount is built in.
Barrel, Choke and Ammunition
The GFY-1 uses a rotating bolt and a short stroke gas piston, and the whole assembly comes out for cleaning without tools once the stock panel is removed. That matters more on a bullpup than on a conventional shotgun, because the action sits inside the buttstock where powder residue is easy to ignore until it causes a malfunction. Plan on cleaning the piston and gas ports every few hundred rounds.
The 18.5 inch barrel is threaded at the muzzle behind the choke, so you can move between modified for buckshot at distance and a more open tube for close work. GForce recommends running ammunition rated at 1400 feet per second or higher for at least the first 150 rounds while the gas system breaks in, which is worth planning for before your first range trip. Buckshot and slug loads generally meet that threshold without any special shopping.
After break-in the gun handles a broad range of loads, but like any gas operated shotgun it rewards consistent ammunition. Light target loads are the first thing to cause short stroking, so keep them for later in the life of the gun rather than day one.

Who Should Buy It
This is a home defense and range gun for someone who wants magazine fed capacity without a four foot long shotgun. Truck guns, boat guns and nightstand guns all suit the format, and the detachable magazine means you reload by swapping rather than feeding shells one at a time under pressure.
Be realistic about the trade-offs. Bullpups put the ejection port close to your face, so left handed shooters should handle one before buying. The trigger linkage is longer than a conventional shotgun and feels it, the eight pound weight is real, and gas guns need the recommended break-in before you trust them.
Full factory specifications are published by GForce Arms. You can compare other finishes and barrel options across our firearms selection before you decide.
Every firearm we list ships to your chosen FFL and is transferred there after a background check. Please confirm that a magazine fed semi-automatic shotgun is legal in your state and city before ordering.
