Description
The Franklin Armory BFSIII C7 Pistol is a compact, American-made AR-15 pistol in 5.56 NATO with a 7.5-inch barrel, a stabilizing brace, and Franklin Armory’s factory BFSIII trigger installed. It is a short, handy build that brings Franklin’s signature trigger technology to a ready-to-run package.

Franklin Armory BFSIII C7 Pistol Overview
Franklin Armory, based in Minden, Nevada, builds complete firearms in the United States and is best known as the company behind the Binary Firing System trigger line. The C7 is its compact 7.5-inch AR pistol platform, and this version ships with the third-generation BFSIII trigger and an SB Tactical SBA3 adjustable brace. The short barrel and brace keep the overall size small enough for vehicles, tight spaces, and quick handling at the range.
BFSIII Trigger
The BFSIII trigger has three selector positions: safe, semi-automatic, and a mode that fires one round when the trigger is pulled and a second round when it is released. That pull and release mode is fun at the range and allows fast strings of fire, but it demands extra discipline. Never let the trigger go forward on target unless you intend to fire, and if you change your mind while holding the trigger in that mode, switch to safe or semi before releasing.
Practice with the gun unloaded until the manual of arms becomes second nature. The trigger is not a machine gun under federal rules because each shot requires a separate trigger action, but several states ban these triggers outright.

Barrel and Gas System
The 7.5-inch barrel uses a short gas system suited to its length. Short 5.56 barrels give up muzzle velocity compared with a 16-inch rifle and produce a lot of noise and flash, so hearing protection is a must. Many owners add a flash hider, brake, or suppressor; suppressors are NFA items requiring an approved ATF Form 4 and must be legal in your state.
SBA3 Brace
The SB Tactical SBA3 is a five-position adjustable stabilizing brace. Federal rules on braces have changed several times in recent years, so confirm the current federal and state status before purchase. The brace makes the pistol far more stable and comfortable to shoot than a bare buffer tube.
Handguard and Accessories
The free-float handguard provides M-LOK slots for lights, lasers, and hand stops, and a full top rail for optics. A compact red dot is the most popular sighting choice for a pistol of this size.
Magazines
The pistol accepts standard AR-15 magazines, and one magazine is included. Capacity limits in some states may restrict what you can use.
Where It Cannot Be Sold
Franklin Armory does not sell its trigger-equipped firearms to civilians in several states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Washington, and the District of Columbia. Other states and localities have their own rules.
State Laws
Laws on these triggers, braces, and AR pistols vary widely and change often. Check your local regulations before ordering, and your receiving FFL dealer can help confirm the pistol is legal where you live.
