Fiocchi 12 ga 1-1/8oz #7 Steel Dove – Proven 12 Gauge Dove and Quail Loads, 1375 fps, 25 Rounds

Description

The Fiocchi 12 ga 1-1/8oz #7 Steel Dove load is built for hunters who want dependable patterns on doves and quail. Fiocchi loads 1-1/8 oz of #7 steel shot to a rated 1375 feet per second in a 2-3/4 in 12 Gauge shell. The heavier 1-1/8 ounce charge and faster velocity give extra reach on passing doves, and the steel shot is a practical choice where lead is restricted.

Why Choose the Fiocchi 12 ga 1-1/8oz #7 Steel Dove

• 1-1/8 oz of #7 steel shot
• Rated 1375 fps muzzle velocity
• 2-3/4 in 12 gauge hull
• Lead-free for non-toxic shot areas
• 25 rounds per box, item 12DLS187

Built for Upland Birds

• Heavier charge adds pellets to the pattern for longer passing shots
• Meets lead-restriction requirements on many public lands
• Fast velocity reduces the lead needed on crossing birds
• Works in pump, semi-auto and break-action 12 gauge shotguns

Patterning your shotgun with a new load is the best way to know how it performs. Shoot a few rounds at a large sheet of paper at 25 to 35 yards with the choke you plan to hunt with, and check that the densest part of the pattern lines up with your point of aim. Trying a tighter or more open choke can make a real difference on fast, close birds.

Store shotshells in a cool, dry place in their original box, and keep loads with different shot sizes separated so you always grab the right shell in the field. Buying enough from the same lot for the whole season keeps velocity and pattern consistent from one hunt to the next, so your practice carries over to the field.

Dove season opens early in September across much of the country, and it is one of the most popular hunts in America because it combines fast shooting with plenty of opportunity. Doves are small, quick and prone to sudden changes in direction, so a shell with a consistent pattern helps hunters stay on target through a full limit. Quail flush close and fast, and the same #7 load handles them well at typical upland distances.

Why Choose Fiocchi 12 Gauge Shotshells

When doves are flaring high over the field, many hunters step up to heavier 12 ga steel dove loads. This Fiocchi shell carries 1-1/8 ounces of #7 steel at 1375 fps, putting more pellets in the pattern and getting them there faster than a standard light field load.

These 12 ga steel field loads are built with quality components and tuned for consistent velocity, so the pattern stays predictable from box to box. Steel is harder than lead and patterns tighter, so a slightly more open choke often works best at typical dove and quail distances.

Fiocchi has made ammunition in Italy since 1876 and loads shotshells for American hunters at its plant in Ozark, Missouri. Its Field Dynamics line covers upland and small-game loads, and fiocchi 12 ga ammo is chosen by many hunters for consistent velocity and clean-burning powders that keep actions running smoothly through a long day in the field.

These shotshells are a good fit for dove and quail hunters shooting 12 gauge pump, semi-automatic and over-under shotguns, especially on public land or managed fields that require non-toxic shot and on days when birds are passing at longer range. Always confirm your shotgun is chambered for 2-3/4 in 12 Gauge shells, wear eye and ear protection, and follow all federal, state and local hunting laws.
