Tight Buckshot Patterns with FLITECONTROL
This Federal Premium buckshot load uses high-quality copper-plated pellets for consistent performance on everything from hogs to whitetails. The buffered payload prevents pellet deformation and helps keep patterns dense and uniform.
The FLITECONTROL wad system is built to keep the buckshot together as it leaves the barrel, and Federal says it delivers the tightest patterns possible from this load. Pattern it in your own shotgun to see how it performs with your choke.

Buckshot Tips
Use Federal FLITECONTROL Buck 12ga PFC15700 shells only in shotguns chambered for 3 inch 12 gauge shells or longer.
Pattern buckshot at the distance you expect to shoot, and keep shots inside the range where most pellets stay on a vital-sized target.
Know what is beyond your target, since buckshot pellets can travel a long way.
Check your state regulations, since some areas restrict buckshot for deer hunting.
Federal FLITECONTROL Buck 12ga PFC15700 ammo is a dependable choice for hunters after deer, hogs and predators at close range.
Why pattern testing matters
Every shotgun and choke combination patterns buckshot a little differently. Shoot a few rounds at a large paper target at 15, 25 and 35 yards and count the hits. This shows you how far you can trust the load in your gun.
Choosing a choke for buckshot
Many shooters find that modified or improved cylinder chokes pattern buckshot well. Very tight turkey chokes can sometimes open buckshot patterns instead of tightening them, so test before you hunt.
Storage and care
Store Federal FLITECONTROL Buck 12ga PFC15700 shells in a cool, dry place in their original box. Clean your shotgun after each outing, especially after hunting in rain or snow, so it is ready the next time you need it.
Choosing a buckshot size
Larger pellets such as 000 and 00 buck carry more energy per pellet, while smaller sizes such as 3 and 4 buck put more pellets into the pattern. Match the size to the animal and the distance, and confirm what your state allows for the game you are hunting.
Reading the box
The box lists the gauge, shell length, payload, shot size and muzzle velocity. Always match the gauge and shell length to your shotgun’s chamber, which is usually stamped on the barrel. Never fire a shell that is longer than the chamber.
About the Buckshot with FLITECONTROL Wad line
Federal FLITECONTROL Buck 12ga PFC15700 is part of Federal’s Buckshot with FLITECONTROL Wad family, which covers several shot sizes and payloads so you can match the load to your gun and the job at hand. Federal publishes the specifications for each load, so you can compare options before you buy.
Buying the right amount
When you find a load that performs well in your shotgun, buy enough for practice and the full season at the same time. Shells from the same lot tend to perform the same, which keeps your results consistent from the first shot to the last.
