Description
The Federal 7mm-08 140gr Barnes TSX load is built for shooters who want more from their 7mm-08 Rem than typical factory ammunition delivers. Federal loads a 140 grain Barnes Triple-Shock X all-copper hollow point to a rated 2820 feet per second, producing about 2473 foot-pounds of energy. The Barnes Triple-Shock X is an all-copper hollow point that expands into four sharp petals while retaining nearly all of its weight. Grooves in the shank reduce fouling and pressure, and the lead-free construction makes it legal in areas that restrict lead ammunition.

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Federal builds into every cartridge.
Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Federal 7mm-08 140gr Barnes TSX until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.
About the 7mm-08 Remington
Remington standardized the 7mm-08 in 1980 by necking the .308 Winchester case down to 7mm. It combines mild recoil with the excellent ballistic coefficients of 7mm bullets, making it a favorite deer and pronghorn cartridge in short, lightweight rifles and a common choice for younger and smaller-framed hunters.
