Description
The Federal 357 SIG 125gr HST load is built for shooters who want more from their .357 SIG than typical factory ammunition delivers. Federal loads a 125 grain HST jacketed hollow point to a rated 1360 feet per second, producing about 514 foot-pounds of energy. Federal HST was developed for law enforcement and has become one of the most trusted defensive bullets available. Its pre-skived jacket mouth and specially designed hollow point deliver consistent expansion and penetration through heavy clothing and other common barriers, and the bullet retains nearly all of its weight.
Personal Defense HST loads it in nickel-plated cases for smooth feeding and corrosion resistance.

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Federal builds into every cartridge.
Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Federal 357 SIG 125gr HST until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.
About the .357 SIG
SIG Sauer and Federal developed the .357 SIG in 1994 to match the performance of 125-grain .357 Magnum loads from a semi-automatic pistol. Built on a necked-down .40 S&W case, it produces high velocity and a flat trajectory, and its bottleneck shape feeds very reliably. Several state and federal agencies have adopted it, and many .40 S&W pistols can be converted to .357 SIG with a barrel swap.
