Federal 357 Mag 158gr JSP – Reliable .357 Magnum Range Ammo, 1240 fps, 50 Rounds

Description

The Federal 357 Mag 158gr JSP load is built for shooters who want more from their .357 Magnum than typical factory ammunition delivers. Federal loads a 158 grain jacketed soft point to a rated 1240 feet per second, producing about 540 foot-pounds of energy. The jacketed soft point gives this versatile load better terminal performance than a full metal jacket, making it useful for practice, plinking and small to medium game.

Why Choose the Federal 357 Mag 158gr JSP

• 158 grain jacketed soft point bullet
• Rated 1240 fps and 540 ft-lbs
• Brass cases with reliable primers
• Versatile soft point for practice and field use
• 50 rounds per box, item AE357A

Built for Training and Practice

• Affordable load for regular range practice
• Reliable feeding and ignition
• Consistent velocities for repeatable practice
• Quality brass cases

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Federal builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Federal 357 Mag 158gr JSP until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.

The .357 Magnum was introduced in 1935 by Smith and Wesson and Winchester as a lengthened, more powerful version of the .38 Special. It quickly earned a reputation as one of the most effective handgun cartridges ever made, and revolvers chambered for it can also fire .38 Special ammunition for lighter practice.
