Why Choose the Federal 12 ga 300gr Freight Train Slug

• 300 grain lead-free copper sabot slug
• Rated 2000 fps and about 2665 ft-lbs
• 3 in 12 gauge shell

Built for the Hunt

• Designed for rifled barrels and rifled choke tubes
• Lead-free for restricted hunting areas
• Flat trajectory for a shotgun slug
• Deep penetration on deer and hogs

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Federal builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Federal 12 ga 300gr Freight Train Slug until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.
