DoubleTap 9mm +P 165gr Equalizer – Superb 9mm Luger +P Defense Ammo, 995 fps, 20 Rounds

Description

The DoubleTap 9mm +P 165gr Equalizer load is built for shooters who want more from their 9mm Luger +P than typical factory ammunition delivers. DoubleTap loads a 165 grain Equalizer dual-projectile load (jacketed hollow point plus lead ball) to a rated 995 feet per second, producing about 365 foot-pounds of energy from a Beretta 92FS. Each Equalizer cartridge holds two projectiles, a jacketed hollow point in front and a lead ball behind it, so every trigger pull puts two hits on target at close range.

Why Choose the DoubleTap 9mm +P 165gr Equalizer

• 165 grain total projectile weight: JHP plus lead ball
• Rated 995 fps, 365 ft-lbs (Beretta 92FS)
• About 900 fps and 297 ft-lbs from a Ruger SR9
• Two projectiles per round
• 20 rounds per box, item 9MM165EQ

Built for Personal Protection

• Home defense where more hits per shot are an advantage
• Close-range personal defense
• Shooters who want a distinctive defensive 9mm load
• Full-size 9mm pistols rated for +P ammunition

DoubleTap offers a full range of 9mm loads, from single-bullet Bonded Defense JHPs to lead-free copper hollow points, so owners can compare the Equalizer with a conventional load and choose what suits them.

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance DoubleTap builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the DoubleTap 9mm +P 165gr Equalizer until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.

Why Choose DoubleTap 9mm +P Ammo

The Equalizer design puts two projectiles in one cartridge. At typical self-defense distances, the lead ball lands close to the hollow point, creating two wound channels from a single shot. DoubleTap rates this load at 995 fps and 365 foot-pounds from a Beretta 92FS and about 900 fps from a Ruger SR9.

When you compare 9mm self defense ammo, the Equalizer is a different approach from a single bullet. This 9mm two projectile ammo is loaded to +P pressure, so confirm your pistol is rated for +P ammunition, and pattern it at the distances you expect to use it. DoubleTap does not recommend Equalizer loads for use with suppressors.

DoubleTap Ammunition is an American company known for loading popular calibers to their full potential, especially the 10mm Auto and other magnum handgun rounds. Doubletap 9mm +p ammo is loaded with quality components and brass cases, and many shooters choose it when they want the performance a caliber was designed for rather than a reduced-power range load.

Home-defense shooters who want two projectiles per shot from their 9mm will find the Equalizer a distinctive choice. Always confirm your firearm is chambered for 9mm Luger +P, wear eye and ear protection, and follow all federal, state and local laws.
