CMMG Dissent Mk4 9mm Tung Overview
The Dissent Mk4 is a CMMG AR pistol. It shares controls and many parts with the AR-15 rifle, in a compact package. Check your state law before buying, since some states restrict AR pistols.
Action and Controls
The Dissent Mk4 runs on a Semi-Auto action system with a Zeroed Single Stage trigger. It holds 33+1 rounds. The safety is ambidextrous. Practice your trigger press and reloads until they feel natural.
Barrel and Sights
The 6.50 inch barrel has a 1:10″ twist. Check that your front sight is crisp in focus as you press the trigger, which is the key to accuracy with any handgun.
Frame, Slide and Finish
The frame is aluminum. The finish is Tungsten Gray Cerakote with Black Nitride. Grips are Black Polymer.
Size and Carry
Overall length is 14.70″. It weighs about 4.60 lbs. That size gives a full grip and a longer sight radius for steady shooting at the range and at home.
Ammo and Practice
Feed this AR pistol quality factory ammo from a known brand. Shoot a few hundred rounds of practice ammo and at least a box of your chosen defensive load to confirm it runs reliably before you trust it for protection.
The 9mm
The 9mm is the most popular handgun round in America, with manageable recoil, affordable practice ammo and a wide choice of defensive loads.
Home Defense and Range Use
This AR pistol is a solid choice for home defense, range practice and many kinds of competition. For home defense, keep it in a quick access safe and pick a quality defensive load.
Holsters and Accessories
Plan on a quality holster made for this exact model, a magazine pouch, a lock or quick access safe, and eye and ear protection. A weapon light and a red dot are popular upgrades if the gun is set up for them.
Buying Tips
Pick up extra magazines, a quality holster and plenty of practice ammo. If you are new to handguns, a basic safety class is a smart first step.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept CMMG holds its value.
State Laws
Handgun laws vary by state, including magazine limits, approved roster lists and carry permits. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
