CMMG Dissent Mk4 6mm ARC Overview
The Dissent Mk4 is a CMMG AR rifle. The AR platform is the most popular rifle in America, with familiar controls, easy maintenance and a huge range of parts and accessories.
Action and Controls
The Dissent Mk4 is an AR rifle with a semi-auto action. It holds 10+1 rounds. The trigger is Zeroed Single Stage. The safety is CMMG zeroed 60/90 degree. This is a ambidextrous model. It is built on the AR10 platform.
Barrel
The 16.10 inch barrel is steel with a steel threaded profile and a 1:7.5″ twist.
Stock and Fit
The stock is synthetic with a black finish. Check the length of pull against your own fit, especially if you shoot in heavy clothing. Metal surfaces wear Coyote Tan Cerakote and Black Armor Cerakote.
Size and Handling
Overall length is 25.90″-36.60″. It weighs about 7.70 lbs. A steady rest, a good sling and practice from field positions will help you shoot it well.
Ammo and Practice
Try a few brands and bullet weights to see what groups best in this rifle, then buy enough of that load to practice and hunt with the same ammo.
The 6mm ARC
The 6mm ARC is a proven chambering. Match your ammunition to your use, and practice with the same loads you plan to rely on.
Target Shooting and More
This rifle is a good fit for target shooting, training and, where legal, home defense or hunting. Add a quality optic or red dot and a sling, and confirm your zero.
Optics and Accessories
Plan on quality scope rings or mounts, a sling, a hard or soft case and a cleaning kit. A bipod or shooting sticks help a lot for steady shots in the field or at the bench.
Buying Tips
Budget for quality optics or sights, a sling and ammo, and confirm your zero at the distances you expect to shoot.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept CMMG holds its value.
State Laws
Some states limit semi-auto features, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
