Citadel M1911 Baby 380 ACP Overview
The M1911 Baby is a Citadel pistol built for everyday carry. It is built on the 1911 Style platform. A good handgun should be reliable with a wide range of ammo, easy to shoot accurately and simple to maintain, and that is what this model is built to deliver.
Action and Controls
The M1911 Baby runs on a single action only system with a Skeletonized trigger. It holds 7+1 rounds. The safety is grip/thumb. Practice your trigger press and reloads until they feel natural.
Barrel and Sights
The 3.75 inch barrel is stainless with a stainless steel profile. Check that your front sight is crisp in focus as you press the trigger, which is the key to accuracy with any handgun.
Frame, Slide and Finish
The frame is aluminum and the slide is steel. The finish is Silver with Crushed Orchard Cerakote. Slide details include serrated. Grips are Black Polymer.
Size and Carry
Overall length is 6.38″. It weighs about 23.52 oz. That size works well for concealed carry with the right holster.
Ammo and Practice
Feed this pistol quality factory ammo from a known brand. Shoot a few hundred rounds of practice ammo and at least a box of your chosen defensive load to confirm it runs reliably before you trust it for protection.
The 380 ACP
The 380 ACP has mild recoil and suits small carry guns; use quality hollow points and practice shot placement.
Concealed Carry and Defense
This pistol is sized for concealed carry. Pair it with a quality holster and a sturdy belt, and practice your draw with an unloaded gun before you carry. For home defense, keep it in a quick access safe.
Holsters and Accessories
Plan on a quality holster made for this exact model, a magazine pouch, a lock or quick access safe, and eye and ear protection. A weapon light and a red dot are popular upgrades if the gun is set up for them.
Buying Tips
Pick up extra magazines, a quality holster and plenty of practice ammo. If you are new to handguns, a basic safety class is a smart first step.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Citadel holds its value.
State Laws
Handgun laws vary by state, including magazine limits, approved roster lists and carry permits. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
