Christensen MPR Rimfire 22 LR Brown Overview
The MPR Rimfire brings Christensen’s precision chassis design to rimfire, making it an ideal trainer and match rifle. Christensen Arms is known for pioneering carbon fiber barrel and stock technology, and every rifle is built and tested in Gunnison, Utah.
Design and Features
This configuration comes in Desert Brown Cerakote + Desert Brown FFT Carbon Fiber and features a Christensen Arms carbon fiber tension rimfire barrel barrel, a muzzle threaded 1/2 x 28 (standard), a removable thread protector, a TriggerTech trigger, and a christensen arms7075 aluminumbillet chassis 10.5″ or 14″ FFTcarbon fiberhandguardwith m-lok stock. Handling in the Field
Light weight and familiar controls make this rifle easy to shoot all day, and it is an excellent way to practice fundamentals at low cost.
Action and Trigger
The bolt cycles smoothly with a positive feel, and the trigger breaks cleanly with little creep, which makes precise shot placement easier.
Sights and Optics
Mount the optic of your choice with quality rings or a mount, and zero it with the load you plan to use.
The 22 LR Cartridge
The 22 LR is the most affordable cartridge to shoot, with almost no recoil and little noise, ideal for practice, small game, and new shooters.
Setup and Accessories
Start with a quality optic and solid rings or a mount, then add a sling for carrying and a bipod or shooting bag for steady rests. Test a few loads for accuracy and settle on the one your rifle likes best. A hard case protects your investment on the way to the range or the field.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the rifle and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the bolt face and chamber. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
