Description

The Christensen Arms Ridgeline Scout 223 is a 5.9 lb. bolt gun with a 16 inch carbon wrapped barrel, an AICS magazine and a flash hider you can unscrew for a suppressor. It is built for tight cover, truck carry and quiet shooting rather than for a bench.
Christensen Arms Ridgeline Scout 223 Barrel and Muzzle
The 16 in. barrel is a 416R stainless core wrapped in aerograde carbon fiber and finished in black nitride. Sixteen inches is short for a bolt rifle and that is the whole idea. Add a suppressor and the package is still shorter than a conventional 22 inch rifle with nothing on the muzzle.
Rifling is a 1:8 twist, which handles the 62 to 77 grain bullets that make 223 Remington useful past two hundred yards rather than restricting you to light varmint loads. The muzzle is threaded 1/2×28 on this chambering and ships with a removable black nitride three prong flash hider.
Action, Stock and Trigger
The receiver is Christensen Arms precision machined with an integral 0 MOA rail, so there are no bases or screws between your optic and the action. It feeds from detachable AICS pattern magazines, which is the right choice on a rifle meant to be carried loaded and unloaded often.
The stock is a carbon fiber composite sporter in tan with black webbing, light enough to keep the whole rifle under six pounds. A TriggerTech flat shoe trigger gives a clean break with a short reset, which matters more on a light rifle than on a heavy one.

Why a Short Bolt Rifle Makes Sense
A 16 inch bolt action sounds like a compromise until you handle one. It swings easily in timber, fits behind a truck seat, rides on a pack without catching, and stays manageable once a suppressor is threaded on the front.
223 Remington loses less to a short barrel than most people assume, and what it does lose matters little inside three hundred yards, which is where this rifle will do nearly all its work. Ammunition is cheap enough to practise with seriously, and recoil is essentially absent.
Why Buyers Choose the Christensen Arms Ridgeline Scout 223
Carbon wrapped barrel, carbon stock, integral rail, TriggerTech trigger, AICS magazines and a sub MOA guarantee in a 5.9 lb. package is a specification list that would cost considerably more assembled piecemeal. Everything on it is there for weight or for handling.
The flash hider is also a thoughtful touch rather than a cosmetic one. It protects the threads, does something useful at dawn and dusk, and comes off in seconds when the can goes on.
Who Should Buy It
The Christensen Arms Ridgeline Scout 223 suits predator and hog hunters who work at night with a suppressor, ranchers who want a light accurate rifle in the truck, hunters in thick timber, and anyone who wants a quiet, cheap to feed bolt gun for practice. It also makes a very good first centerfire rifle for a younger shooter.
