Description

The Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT in 300 Winchester Magnum is a left hand mountain rifle built around a carbon fiber wrapped barrel and a Flash Forged Technology carbon stock. This one wears Burnt Bronze Cerakote on the barrel and receiver with a green stock carrying black and tan accents, and it holds 3+1 through a hinged floorplate.
Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT Barrel and Muzzle
The barrel is a 416R stainless steel core wrapped in aerograde carbon fiber, button rifled and match chambered, and it measures 22 inches with a 1:10 twist. Carbon wrapping is not a gimmick here. It lets the barrel shed heat faster than a steel barrel of the same profile while cutting weight, which is why a 300 Win Mag rifle in this line does not handle like a boat anchor. The barrel free floats the entire length of the forend.
The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and a removable stainless side-baffle brake ships with the rifle. On a 300 Win Mag in a light package that brake is genuinely welcome, and it comes off if you would rather run a suppressor or a thread protector.
Action, Stock, and the Left Hand Advantage
The receiver is machined by Christensen Arms to a Remington 700 footprint, drilled and tapped, so bases and rings are easy to find. The bolt is spiral fluted with an oversized aluminum knob, and the trigger is a TriggerTech unit with the company frictionless release. Christensen backs the rifle with a sub-MOA guarantee.
Left hand rifles are still a small fraction of what gets built, and left handed shooters usually end up settling for a right hand action or paying a lot for a custom. A factory left hand bolt in a premium carbon rifle is a genuinely uncommon thing to find on a shelf. The FFT stock is a fixed sporter profile in carbon fiber, which is where a good part of the weight savings comes from.

Why Buyers Choose It
Weight is the short answer. The Ridgeline FFT line starts at about 5.4 pounds in the smaller chamberings, and even in 300 Win Mag with a 22 inch tube this rifle is far lighter than a conventional steel-barreled magnum. That matters on day three of a backcountry hunt. The brake and the carbon stock together make it manageable to shoot despite the weight savings, and the Remington 700 footprint means you are never hunting for proprietary accessories.
Who Should Buy It
Left handed hunters chasing elk, moose, or open-country mule deer are the obvious buyers, and 300 Win Mag remains one of the most capable and widely available big game cartridges in North America. It is also a strong fit for anyone planning a mountain or backpack hunt where every pound gets carried uphill. If you shoot long strings at the range or want the cheapest possible way into 300 Win Mag, a heavier steel-barreled rifle will cost less and tolerate more sustained fire, but it will not carry like this one.
