Charter Arms Pathfinder 22 LR Black 3.5 Pistol – Superb Revolver

Description

The Charter Arms Pathfinder 22 LR Black 3.5 is a pistol chambered in 22 LR with a 3.5-inch barrel.

Charter Arms Pathfinder 22 LR Black 3.5 Overview

Charter Arms has built affordable, American-made revolvers in Shelton, Connecticut since 1964, and its guns are known for being light, simple and dependable. The Pathfinder is an eight-shot 22 LR revolver, a great trainer and trail gun. When you choose a handgun, the right size depends on how you plan to use it. A smaller frame is easier to conceal under a light shirt, while a longer grip and slide give you more control, a longer sight radius and faster follow-up shots at the range.

Spend time with the grip in your hand, try a few draws from the holster you plan to use, and practice reloads with the magazines it ships with. Regular practice with quality ammunition will build the confidence and skill that matter far more than any single feature.

Design and Features

It has a one-piece steel or stainless frame with no side plate for strength, a fully shrouded ejector rod, and a hammer-block safety that keeps the gun from firing unless the trigger is pulled. For carry, pair it with a quality holster that covers the trigger guard completely and a sturdy belt that keeps the gun stable through the day. For home defense, a weapon light and a secure, quick-access safe are worth considering. Whatever the role, spend time learning to manipulate the controls until loading, unloading and clearing malfunctions become second nature.

Handling and Carry

It is light and easy to carry.

Trigger and Controls

The double-action trigger is smooth and the single-action pull is light and crisp.

Sights and Optics

The factory sights give a clear, quick sight picture, and an optic-ready slide (where fitted) lets you add a red dot whenever you are ready.

The 22 LR Cartridge

The 22 LR is the most affordable cartridge to shoot, with almost no recoil and little noise.

Setup and Accessories

A good holster is the most important accessory for any carry pistol. Choose one that covers the trigger guard completely and holds the gun securely, then add a sturdy gun belt, spare magazines, and a weapon light if the frame has a rail. Practice drawing and reloading with an unloaded gun until it feels natural.

Ownership Tips

Read the owner’s manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the pistol and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner’s manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
