Charles Daly AR 12T 12ga Overview
The AR 12T is a Charles Daly semi-auto shotgun. It cycles itself for fast follow up shots and softer felt recoil than a pump.
Action and Controls
The AR 12T is a semi-auto shotgun. It holds 5+1 rounds. The safety is manual. This is a right hand model.
Barrel and Chokes
The 18.50 inch barrel has a stainless steel profile. The chamber accepts 3″ shells. Sights are Flip Up Front & Rear.
Stock and Fit
The stock is synthetic with a black finish. Check the length of pull against your own fit, especially if you shoot in heavy clothing. Metal surfaces wear Black.
Size and Handling
Overall length is 38.20″. It weighs about 9 lbs. Mount the gun the same way every time and let your eyes lead the muzzle to the target.
Ammo and Practice
Use target loads for clays, the right shot size for the birds you hunt, and buckshot or slugs only where they fit the job. Pattern the gun with each load at the distances you expect to shoot.
The 12 gauge
The 12 gauge is the most versatile shotgun gauge, handling everything from light target loads to heavy waterfowl, turkey and defense loads.
Upland Birds and Waterfowl
This shotgun suits upland birds, doves and waterfowl, and it works fine for a round of clays. Federal law requires nontoxic shot for waterfowl.
Accessories
A sling, a case, extra choke tubes and a good recoil pad make a shotgun easier to live with. Hunters should add shell carriers and blaze orange or camo gear as the season requires.
Buying Tips
Pattern your gun with each choke and load you plan to use, and check that the length of pull fits you.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Charles Daly holds its value.
State Laws
Some states limit semi-auto features, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
