Description
The Burris FastFire Mount Beretta 92 (Burris item 410324) is a one-piece steel plate that lets you put a Burris FastFire red dot on a Beretta 92 or 96 pistol without milling the slide. It also fits the Beretta 90-Two and Cougar and the Taurus PT99, making it a simple way to add a reflex sight to a classic full-size service pistol.

Burris FastFire Mount Beretta 92 Overview
Most older Beretta pistols were never cut for optics, and sending a slide out for milling costs time and money and is permanent. This Burris mount takes a different approach: it installs in the factory rear sight dovetail, replacing the rear sight with a low plate that accepts the FastFire footprint. When you want the iron sights back, the mount comes out and the rear sight goes back in.
The mount is machined, finished in matte black and sized specifically for these Beretta and Taurus slides, so there is no universal adapter or shimming involved.
Compatibility
Burris lists this mount for the Beretta 92 and 96 families, the 90-Two, the Cougar, and the Taurus PT99. Burris specifically notes it does not fit the M9A3, which uses a different rear sight arrangement. If you own a newer optics-ready Beretta 92X or a factory-cut slide, you do not need this part; use the correct optic plate for that pistol instead.

The mount accepts Burris FastFire sights. Before ordering, confirm the screw pattern of your exact red dot model matches the FastFire footprint; sights with other footprints such as the RMR pattern will not bolt on without an adapter.
Installation
Removing a Beretta rear sight usually calls for a sight pusher, because these dovetails are tight from the factory. Drifting with a brass punch can work but risks marring the slide. Center the mount in the dovetail, tighten the retaining screws, and use a small amount of blue thread locker on the optic screws. A gunsmith can handle installation in a few minutes if you do not have a sight pusher.
What to Expect on the Range
Because the optic sits at the rear of the slide rather than recessed into a milled cut, the dot rides higher than it would on an optics-cut pistol. The factory front sight will not co-witness with the dot, so expect to rely on the red dot alone. The higher sight line also means slightly more holdover at very close range. For most range, competition and home defense use at typical handgun distances, the difference is minor.

Holsters and Carry
Adding a red dot changes holster fit. Many standard Beretta 92 holsters will not clear a slide-mounted optic, so plan on an optics-compatible holster before you carry or compete with this setup.
Honest Limitations
A dovetail plate is not as low or as rigid as a direct milled cut, and the optic height gives up absolute co-witness. It is, however, fully reversible and far cheaper than slide machining, which is why many 92 owners choose it first.
