The X-Bolt is the Browning flagship bolt action, known for accuracy, a short 60 degree bolt lift and a crisp trigger. The Mountain Pro Long Range Tungsten is a lightweight long range hunting rifle, with a carbon fiber stock, a stainless steel fluted heavy sporter barrel, a spiral fluted bolt and Tungsten Cerakote on the metal. Action and Bolt
The short action X-Bolt action has a 60 degree bolt lift, so the bolt clears a low mounted scope and cycles quickly. A bolt unlock button lets you open the action with the safety on to unload safely. The top tang safety sits right under your thumb, and the detachable rotary magazine sits flush with the stock.
Barrel and Muzzle
The 26 inch stainless barrel has a heavy sporter contour, a 1 in 7 1/2 inch twist and a 5/8 – 24 SR threaded muzzle. The barrel is free floated for consistent accuracy. A muzzle brake cuts recoil a lot, but it is loud, so always wear hearing protection and warn hunting partners beside you.
