Description
The Browning X-Bolt 6.5 PRC Magazine is a factory Browning detachable rotary magazine for X-Bolt and X-Bolt 2 rifles chambered in 6.5 PRC, with a Burnt Bronze Cerakote base. It holds 3 rounds. This listing is UPC 023614971023, Browning part 112044508.
Browning X-Bolt 6.5 PRC Magazine Overview
A spare magazine is one of the most useful accessories you can buy for a bolt action hunting rifle. Keep one loaded in your pack, swap quickly at the range, or match the base color to a Cerakote rifle. This is a genuine Browning part, not an aftermarket copy.
Rotary Design
The X-Bolt magazine uses a rotary feed that sits flush with the bottom of the stock and presents each round in line with the chamber for smooth feeding. It locks in with a positive click and drops free with the release latch.
Burnt Bronze Cerakote Base
The base wears Burnt Bronze Cerakote, a tough ceramic based coating that resists scratches and rust. It is a good visual match for Browning rifles with Burnt Bronze metalwork, and it works in any X-Bolt in this caliber regardless of color.
Fit and Compatibility
This magazine is for 6.5 PRC. X-Bolt magazines are caliber specific, so a 6.5 Creedmoor or 300 PRC magazine will not work correctly in a 6.5 PRC rifle. Browning lists its X-Bolt magazines as fitting both X-Bolt and X-Bolt 2 rifles.
Capacity
It holds 3 rounds of 6.5 PRC. Check your state hunting rules, since some states limit how many rounds a hunting rifle may hold.
Care Tips
Wipe the magazine clean after a wet or dusty hunt and keep it free of oil inside, which can attract grit. Do not disassemble the rotary spring unless you need to.
Why Carry a Spare Magazine
On a hunt, a second loaded magazine in a chest rig or hip belt pocket gives you three more rounds without fumbling loose cartridges with cold fingers. At the range it lets you load one while you shoot the other, which saves time on a crowded bench. Many hunters also keep a spare so they can store the rifle unloaded and still be ready quickly once they reach the stand or blind.
Choosing the Right Magazine
Browning makes X-Bolt magazines in several caliber groups and finishes, including black, Smoked Bronze, Tungsten and Carbon Gray as well as Burnt Bronze. Every one is matched to a specific cartridge family, so always order by caliber first and color second. If your rifle is a long action magnum or a short magnum, double check the caliber listed on the box or on the bottom of your current magazine before you buy. When in doubt, call our shop with your rifle model and caliber and we will confirm the fit.
