Browning Cynergy CX 12ga 28 Overview
The Cynergy is the most modern over and under in the Browning line. Its ultra low profile receiver puts your hands closer to the bore line, which helps the gun point naturally and reduces muzzle jump. It is built by Miroku in Japan. The Cynergy CX is the crossover model, set up to move between the field and the clays course, with a sporting style walnut stock and a silver nitride receiver.
Barrels and Chokes
The 28 inch barrels have a satin blued finish and a ivory bead front sight. The Invector-Plus Midas choke system comes with full, modified, improved cylinder tubes, so you can tailor the pattern to the job. Back bored barrels and lengthened forcing cones help soften recoil and improve patterns.
MonoLock Hinge and Reverse Striker
The Cynergy uses the MonoLock hinge, which lets the receiver sit far lower than a traditional over and under, and a reverse striker ignition system with a mechanical trigger for fast, consistent lock time. Ejectors kick out fired hulls and lift unfired shells for easy removal.
Stock and Fit
The Grade I black walnut stock with a satin finish. Browning lists a 14 1/4 inch length of pull and an Cynergy Inflex recoil pad, which pulls the comb down and away from your face as the gun recoils.
Receiver
Silver Nitride finish covers the low profile receiver. The trim profile makes the gun feel lively and quick between the hands.
The 12 gauge
The 12 gauge is the most versatile choice, handling everything from light target loads to heavy field and waterfowl loads.
Clays and Field
The Cynergy CX is at home on the sporting clays course, at skeet and at trap, and it is just as good for upland birds and doves when the season opens.
Key Features
Browning highlights these features: invector-Plus Choke Tube, impact Ejectors for quick clearance of fired hulls, ultra-low profile receiver, monoLock Hinge, chrome chambers for increased durability, corrosion resistance, and easier cleaning, lightweight profile, ventilated top, and side ribs, reverse Striker Ignition System offers a trigger pull with a crisp break with minimal overtravel, inflex Recoil Pad.
Care and Value
Wipe the metal down after a hunt and clean the barrels and chokes regularly. A well kept Cynergy holds its value well on the used market.
