Browning Citori Cx Micro 12ga 28 Overview
The Citori has been the Browning flagship over and under since 1973. It is built by Miroku in Japan and is known for a strong action that stays tight for decades. This version is the Citori CX Micro.
Barrel and Chokes
The 28 inch barrels have a polished blued finish, a 3/8 – 5/16 inch rib and a ivory bead front sight. It uses the Invector-Plus Midas system and ships with full, modified, improved cylinder tubes, so you can open up for close birds or tighten up for longer shots.
Action
The over and under action gives you two quick shots and an instant choice of chokes, and ejectors kick out fired hulls. Two barrels make it simple and reliable, with nothing to cycle and no gas to clean.
Stock and Fit
The Grade II black walnut stock with a gloss finish. Browning lists a 13 1/8 Adj inch length of pull, 1 1/2 inch drop at comb and 2 inch drop at heel, with a Inflex 2, Large recoil pad.
Key Features
Browning highlights these features: transverse-mounted, full-width tapered locking bolt and monoblock recess for maximum strength and longevity; stronger and longer lasting full-width hinge pin; inflex II Recoil Pad; inertia Trigger; hammer Ejectors; chrome Chambers for increased durability, corrosion resistance, and easier cleaning; steel Shot Performance; total Barrel Dynamics.
The 12 gauge
The 12 gauge handles everything from light target loads to heavy waterfowl and turkey loads.
Upland Birds and Waterfowl
This shotgun is at home on upland birds such as pheasant and quail, and its 3 inch chamber handles waterfowl loads too. Check federal and state rules on shot type and capacity for waterfowl.
Buying Tips
Before you buy, think about the birds and targets you shoot most. Barrel length changes swing and handling, with shorter barrels quicker in the woods and longer barrels smoother on passing birds and clays. Pattern both barrels with each choke and load at 30 to 40 yards so you know exactly where they shoot.
Care and Value
Wipe the gun down after wet hunts and clean the barrels and chokes regularly. A well kept Browning holds its value well on the used market.
State Laws
Shotguns are legal in every state, though hunting rules vary. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
