Description
The Browning Buck Mark Micro Field/Target is a 22 LR target pistol with a 4-inch bull barrel, adjustable Pro-Target sights and a Picatinny optics rail, finished in matte blued. It is the short-barrelled version of the pistol that has been winning rimfire matches since 1985.
A Target Pistol You Can Actually Carry
Full-size Buck Marks wear 5.5 or 7.25-inch barrels, which is wonderful on a bench and awkward in a pack. The Micro trims the barrel to 4 inches and the overall length to about 8, without changing anything that makes the pistol shoot well. That is why the Browning Buck Mark Micro Field/Target works equally as a range gun and as a genuine field pistol for small game and trail carry.
Four-Inch Bull Barrel
The barrel is a bull profile rather than a slim taper, which puts weight out front where it steadies the sight picture and soaks up what little recoil a 22 LR produces. Bull barrels are also stiffer, which helps consistency shot to shot. Matte blued finish keeps glare down in bright sun, which matters more on a target pistol than most people expect.
Pro-Target Adjustable Sights
The rear sight is fully adjustable for windage and elevation, so you can zero precisely for whichever brand of rimfire ammunition groups best in your pistol. Rimfire ammunition varies enormously between brands, and adjustable sights are how you take advantage of that. The Field/Target designation means exactly this: sights good enough to shoot a match with, on a pistol light enough to hunt with.
Picatinny Optics Rail
A Picatinny rail runs along the top of the receiver, so a red dot mounts directly with no adapter or drilling. A dot on a rimfire pistol is one of the fastest ways to improve practical accuracy, particularly for older eyes. The irons remain fully usable if you prefer them, or as a backup.
UFX Overmolded Grips
The grips are Browning’s UFX design, ambidextrous and overmolded in rubber for a secure hold in wet or cold hands. They fill the palm without becoming bulky, which suits a pistol you may shoot two hundred rounds through in an afternoon.
Single Action Blowback
The action is a straight blowback single action, the simplest and most reliable arrangement for a rimfire pistol. The Browning Buck Mark Micro Field/Target uses the same gold-plated alloy trigger the line is known for, breaking cleanly with a short reset. Ten rounds in the magazine with one chambered gives eleven, and spare Buck Mark magazines are cheap and widely available.

Who Should Buy It
This suits a shooter who wants one 22 pistol that does everything: bullseye practice, plinking, small game hunting and teaching new shooters.
Recoil is negligible, ammunition is cheap and the adjustable sights let you tune it precisely. The Browning Buck Mark Micro Field/Target has a shorter sight radius than the full-size models, which costs a little precision at distance, and like every 22 LR firearm it is ammunition sensitive. Expect to test a few brands before settling.
Shooters chasing maximum accuracy should compare a 5.5-inch Buck Mark, and anyone wanting a carry pistol should look at a centerfire compact in our catalog. Every firearm we list ships to your chosen FFL and is transferred in accordance with federal and state law.
