Description
The Browning A5 Wicked Wing 16 Ga is a shotgun chambered in 16 Gauge with a 26-inch barrel and a 4+1 capacity. Browning lists it as item number 0119005005.
Browning A5 Wicked Wing 16 Ga Overview
The Browning A5 uses the Kinematic Drive inertia system, which keeps the action clean and runs a wide range of loads, wrapped in the famous humpback receiver profile.
Design and Features
This A5 Wicked Wing features a burnt bronze cerakote barrel finish, a MOSGH composite stock, an Inflex 2, Large recoil pad, Banded Invector-DS Extended choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder included), a fiber optic front sight, and textured grip panels. It is chambered for shells up to 2 3/4″. Magazine capacity is 4, 2 3/4″ shells. It weighs 6 lbs 1 oz and measures 47 5/8″ overall. Length of pull is 14 1/4″.
Handling in the Field
It mounts smoothly and swings naturally, helping you stay on fast-moving targets in the field or on the clays course.
Action and Trigger
The inertia action cycles reliably with light and heavy loads alike, and the controls are easy to use with gloves.
Sights and Optics
Mount the optic of your choice with quality rings or a mount, and zero it with the load you plan to use.
The 16 Gauge Cartridge
The 16 Gauge offers a good balance of power, accuracy, and recoil for its intended use.
Setup and Accessories
Set your shotgun up for its job: hunters will want a sling and a few choke tubes, clay shooters may add a recoil pad, and a home-defense setup benefits from a weapon light. Pattern every load and choke combination you plan to use.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the shotgun and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the action and choke threads. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
