Description
The Bond Arms Roughneck Girl 357 Magnum (model BARN-BG-357/38) is a two-shot stainless steel derringer with a 2.5 inch barrel and pink wood grips marked with the Bond Girl logo. It fires .357 Magnum or .38 Special and is built in Granbury, Texas.

Bond Arms Roughneck Girl 357 Magnum Overview
The Roughneck series is Bond Arms most affordable line. Bond leaves off some of the polishing and hand-fitting of its standard guns and gives the frame a bead-blasted rough finish, but keeps the same stainless steel construction, rebounding hammer, crossbolt safety and trigger guard. The barrel tips up for loading, held by a cammed locking lever. Distributors list it at about 19 ounces and 4.5 inches long, small enough to ride in a pocket or purse holster.
How It Works
The Roughneck Girl is single action. You cock the hammer for each shot, and the firing pin alternates between the top and bottom barrels. To load, push the barrel release lever, tip the barrels up, drop in two cartridges, and close the barrels until they lock. The spent cases must be pulled out by hand, so reloading is slow compared with a revolver or pistol.
357 Magnum or 38 Special
The chambers accept both .357 Magnum and .38 Special. From a 2.5 inch barrel and a 19 ounce gun, .357 Magnum produces heavy recoil and a large muzzle flash, so many owners carry .38 Special for more control and practice with the same. Never fire .357 Magnum in a gun marked only for .38 Special.
Safety Features
A crossbolt safety blocks the hammer, and the rebounding hammer rests away from the firing pins when not cocked. The trigger guard, which earlier derringer designs lacked, helps prevent accidental contact with the trigger. Even so, carry it in a holster that covers the trigger, and learn the manual of arms before loading.
Grips and Finish
The pink wood grips with the Bond Girl logo are the main difference from the standard black-gripped Roughneck. Bond Arms grips are interchangeable across its frames, so you can change the look later. The bead-blasted stainless finish resists rust and hides holster wear well.
Realistic Role
A derringer is a backup or deep-concealment gun, not a primary defensive handgun. Two rounds, a short sight radius and a heavy trigger make it hard to shoot well beyond a few yards, and reloading is slow. Owners who understand those limits enjoy it as a rugged, well-made gun that disappears in a pocket.
State Laws and Ownership
Handgun purchase rules vary widely by state. Some states require a permit, license or safety certificate before you can buy any handgun, and California, Massachusetts and a few others only allow dealers to sell models on an approved roster. Concealed carry needs a valid permit in many states, and reciprocity between states is not automatic. MAG5 Firearms does not ship firearms to Massachusetts or Oregon. Ask your receiving FFL to confirm local transfer rules before you order. Bond Arms derringers are not on the California roster.

Before You Buy
Federal law requires that this handgun ship to a licensed FFL dealer, where you will complete ATF Form 4473 and a background check. You must be at least 21 years old to buy a handgun from a dealer. Practice with .38 Special before stepping up to full-power magnum loads, and choose a holster that fully covers the trigger guard. This derringer is filed under revolvers in our store, but it is a two-barrel derringer, not a revolver.
