Black Rain Frontline 9mm FDE Black Overview
The Frontline is part of the Black Rain Ordnance handgun series, built in Neosho, Missouri on the proven Glock 19 Gen 3 pattern. Instead of buying a stock pistol and paying a gunsmith for stippling, slide cuts and Cerakote, you get those upgrades straight from the factory with a warranty behind them.
Glock 19 Pattern Compatibility
Because the Frontline is based on the Glock 19 Gen 3 platform, it works with the huge range of compatible magazines, sights, holsters and parts. Holster fit can vary with slide cuts and optics, so confirm that your holster lists the Frontline or try it with the pistol in hand.
Red Dot Ready Undercut Slide
The stainless steel slide is cut for a red dot, beveled at the front for easier holstering and press checks, and undercut for a more comfortable grip. Confirm the optic footprint with us before you buy a red dot, since adapter plates differ.
Upgraded Stippling and Rail
The polymer frame has upgraded stippling for a secure hold and a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail for a light or laser. Stainless steel retention pins replace the standard pins.
Trigger and Barrel
Black Rain lists a standard trigger of about 5.5 pounds and a black nitride steel barrel. The trigger feels familiar to anyone who has shot a Glock, and the barrel is built for long service life.
Choosing Ammunition
Standard 115 grain FMJ is fine for practice. For carry or home defense, pick a quality jacketed hollow point and fire a few boxes through the pistol to confirm function and point of impact.
Cleaning and Care
Field strip and clean the barrel, slide rails and breech face after range sessions. Cerakote is tough, but wipe it down after carry to remove sweat.
State Laws
Some states limit magazine capacity or restrict which handguns can be sold. Check your state law before you order. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
